At least 25% of a SELECT Shingle Roofer's installers, including at least one supervisor, have passed a rigorous written test to become a Master Shingle Applicator, a credential that must be renewed every two years. In addition, at least one employee has passed both the Expert and the Master tests on shingle quality in the Quality MasterÔ Manual. Or, a manager or employee of the firm must be a member of the prestigious CertainTeed Professional Roofer Advisory. Council.

When you hire a SELECT Shingle Roofer, you can rest assured that he carries Workers' Compensation insurance, critical both for the protection of workers' health and safety -- and for the homeowners' protection in case of an accident. Quality Masters can eventually earn permanent Quality Master status after three qualifications.

To become a Master Shingle Applicator requires careful study as well as pride of workmanship. The MSA candidate must pass a 75 question written examination with at least 70 correct responses.
